About
Spaces to Connect, Create, Learn and Embody.
Breathe and Recover is a creative and embodied learning space. We offer online and in-person events, workshops, and programmes for individuals and professionals to reconnect with themselves and with each other.
Through body, breath, awareness practices, and creative exploration, we create spaces for reflection, connection, and self-discovery.
We collaborate with therapists, facilitators, and practitioners from different disciplines, bringing together a range of perspectives to support meaningful, accessible learning experiences.
Breathe and Recover was created to bridge worlds that are often kept separate — mind and body, individual experiences and collective care, learning and embodied practice.
We believe learning is more than something we think about, it also needs to be lived, felt, and integrated. We also recognise the body as part of the learning process — not separate from it.
Our work is grounded in the understanding that rest, connection, and trauma-informed practice are not luxuries or passing wellness trends. They are essential foundations for sustainable ways of living, working, creating, and relating.
In a culture that often rewards speed, productivity, and disconnection from our own limits, we are interested in what becomes possible when people have space to slow downto notice, collaborate, and respond with greater awareness.
Breathe and Recover offers environments for individuals, communities, and organisations to explore new ways of learning and being — ones that make room for complexity, creativity, rest, and human connection.
Our Approach
Our approach recognises that learning happens through more than thought—it happens through the senses, movement, creativity, and reflection. Informed by neuroarts, we use sound, colour, texture, movement, and space to support regulation, awareness, and reconnection.
By integrating trauma-informed breath and body awareness with creative exploration, we create supportive spaces where individuals can engage with their experiences and discover new perspectives beyond words.
What we mean by embodied learning
Embodied learning recognises that understanding does not only happen in the mind. It also happens through:
sensation and breath
movement and posture
attention and awareness
creative expression
In this space, participants learn to notice patterns in real time and explore how regulation, focus, and presence shift through experience.
What we offer
Our work takes many forms, allowing learning to unfold in ways that suit different people, environments, and communities.
These include:
🌿 Courses and learning programmes
🌿 In-person workshops and gatherings
🌿 Pop-up presentations and creative events
🌿 Psychoeducation and health education resources
🌿 Reflective and creative learning tools
Our projects — including initiatives such as Right to Rest and the Pain Reprocessing Project — are designed to support thoughtful exploration of rest, awareness, pain, and human experience.
Each project evolves over time, shaped by collaboration, lived experience, and the needs of the communities we work alongside.
Collaboration At the heart
Breathe and Recover is not built by one person alone.
It exists through collaboration — We work alongside a diverse network of contributors, including:
Clinicians
Yoga Practitioners
Subject matter experts
Artists
Therapists
Teachers
Community Educators
Wisdom Keepers
Together, we create environments where creativity, knowledge, and experience can meet in meaningful ways.
